Artist Statement :
Taking inspirations from OMORI (game) and Takashi Murakami, my coursework encapsulates a dreamscape of the ultimate rawness of my identity, unlocking my headspace to show the beauty of identity, through a state of surrealism and phantasmagoria.
My work reflects how both myself and all individuals are more than just personalities on paper- our identities are complex and unique; especially after peeling away the multiple layers of concealment. Sometimes, aspects of our identity are demoralising to us, but at the end of the day, that stained and flawed part makes us who we are. How we decide to metamorphosize as a person depends on the path we take, to dwell on blemishes or embrace the beautiful imperfections of what truly makes us human?
